Clinical Trial Rater Services

I am available as an independent clinical rater for pharmaceutical sponsors and contract research organizations (CROs) conducting psychiatric clinical trials. With a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, active licensure in Massachusetts and Florida, and extensive training in structured diagnostic interviews and clinician-administered rating scales, I bring the rigor and reliability that high-quality clinical outcome assessment requires.

  • Clinical Internship and Residency, Behavioral Medicine Program, Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School

Rating Instruments

I have administered the following clinician-rated and structured diagnostic instruments:
 

  • Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAM-D / HDRS)

  • Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS)

  • Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS)

  • Snaith-Hamilton Pleasure Scale (SHAPS)

  • Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI)

  • Diagnostic Interview for Anxiety, Mood, and OCD and Related Neuropsychiatric Disorders (DIAMOND)
     

I am experienced with both symptom severity scales (HAM-D, MADRS, Y-BOCS, SHAPS) and structured diagnostic interviews (MINI, DIAMOND) used for eligibility screening and endpoint assessment in psychiatric trials.
 

My clinical expertise and rater experience are concentrated in:

  • Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)

  • Anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety, social anxiety, specific phobias)

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Anhedonia and reward processing (SHAPS-validated endpoints)

  • General psychiatry / DSM-5 diagnostic screening

Therapeutic Areas 

Reliable, unbiased outcome assessment is the foundation of valid trial data. I take rater training and certification requirements seriously, maintain calibration standards, and approach each assessment with the methodological discipline my quantitative training demands.
