Professional Background

Clinical Experience

I have been seeing patients since 2017 in a variety of clinic- and hospital-based settings. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami, where I specialized in Health Psychology/Behavioral Medicine and obtained a concentration in Quantitative Psychology. I completed my clinical internship/residency at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School in the Behavioral Medicine Program of the Department of Psychiatry. Prior to working at MGH, I provided psychological services at the Miami Veteran Affairs Medical Center and the University of Miami Trauma Treatment Program.

A Leader in Evidence-Based Treatments

For the past several years I have held leadership positions in national and international conferences. In these roles, I am involved in reviewing, organizing, and presenting the most cutting-edge research in CBT and behavior change. Because of these roles and my own research, I am well-versed in the latest developments in evidence-based treatments. My roles are:

  • Associate Scientific Program Chair, 26th World Congress of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies

  • Co-Chair, Behavioral Medicine and Integrated Primary Care Special Interest Group, Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies

  • Mini-track Co-Chair, Body Sensor Networks for Personalized Medicine, Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences
